Diane Emch, age 77 of Chardon,  passed away on August 16, 2024. She was born on July 7, 1947 in Salem, OH. Diane was retired from the US Postal service where she worked for 30 years delivering mail to Kirtland and Waite Hill. Her first career and love was teaching, as she taught elementary grades for Grand Valley Schools in Orwell before starting her family. Diane was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed watching, playing, and coaching many sports but most notably excelled at playing tennis. She played at Riverview Racquet and Heisley Racquet clubs for many years. Diane competed at the national level several times in the United States Tennis Association tournament with her dearest friends and placed second in the 65+ age category multiple times, but like many Cleveland sports teams, never clinched the glory. Diane had a large extended family and enjoyed most being a mother and grandmother.
