Douglas William Mitchell, 51, went to meet our parents on February 2, 2025. Born August 24, 1973 in Cleveland Ohio, Doug was raised in Chagrin Falls, graduating from Orange High School in 1992. He followed his mother's footsteps, pursuing a career in Nursing and becoming a fiercely proud alumnus of the University of Akron. Doug made a stop in Critical Care and Operating Room Nursing, before relocating to Phoenix, Arizona (disliking the cold) and building a brilliant career in Healthcare Quality and Nursing Management after receiving his Masters in Nursing from his undergraduate alma mater. Waving goodbye to Doug in 2003, proud parents, a sister, and dearest friends wished him well as he set out to live his life in the valley of the sun. A life-long learner, holding multiple degrees, certifications, and professional organization associations, Doug was a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, sat on the advisory board for the Arizona Board of Nursing, and at the time of his death
