Dr. Lewis E. Galante, 85, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on February 20, 2025. He was born on May 21, 1939, and was a much loved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Lew grew up on Youngstown's East Side surrounded by aunts, uncles and cousins regularly sharing an abundance of excellent Italian food and family stories around the table. He worked his way through college while also having the time of his life as a dedicated brother of Theta Chi Fraternity and enjoying the company of a beautiful cheerleader and Beta Sig sorority girl Maria whom he married in 1964 after graduating from Youngstown State University. After graduation, Lew joined the Air Force Reserves and proudly served his country for seven years. He was a committed American patriot throughout his lifetime, steadfast in his belief that we lived in the greatest country in the world. Lewis was an ambitious young man, earning his Master's degree from Westminster College of Pennsylvania
